A great way to
experience student life at BC.
WHAT TO WEAR
Our guest students generally
wear knit golf shirts, khakis and dress shoes. A shirt and tie is always
welcome as well.
WHAT THE DAY ENTAILS
Parents park in the front
semi-circle. You may bring your son to the Main Office between 8:15 and
8:30 where he will meet with a BC Admissions Representative. Your son will spend
the remainder of first period with the Director of Admissions. Prospective
freshmen visit
with 10th graders from second period though lunch, which BC will provide at no
cost to our visitors. The day ends for our guests at 12:15 on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday. It ends at 11:45 on Tuesday and Thursday.
Parents should once again park in the front semi-circle and meet their sons in
the Main Office. While we do not give any homework to the young men, we do
not excuse them from any work they might miss in their schools.
WHEN TO VISIT
Make your appointments early
in the year. Parents will begin calling in the summer for fall
appointments. Generally we are booked through November following our first
Open House of the year, which is generally held in September.
8th graders should visit
throughout the fall. Plan to visit before Christmas if possible. 7th
graders should visit in the spring of their 7th grade year. We welcome 4
students nearly every day from September through early May (about 350-375 visit
annually). Generally January is a difficult month due to Mid-term
examinations at BC (no visitors). Because acceptances are mailed
around the middle of the month AND registration is the first Saturday in
February, during the last two weeks of January a very large number of students
visit daily (15-20). While we succeed in welcoming those numbers, we like
the opportunity to spend some quality time so please schedule your son's
appointment early. To schedule an appointment for a visit,
