BC’s ACTION Club Donates Homegrown Vegetables to the Needy
ORADELL, NJ, August 5, 2024– Over the summer the Bergen Catholic ACTION club created a garden on the BC campus in order to grow produce they could then donate to the needy. Club co-presidents Christian Choi and Matthew Morin harvested over two dozen cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and bundles of basil, parsley and rosemary and donated the home-grown vegetables to the Food Brigade in Dumont which provide food for families in need in Dumont and Clifton.
Our Bergen Catholic students are living out the Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Christian Brothers education by caring for the poor and marginalized in a self-sustaining manner with their bountiful garden.
