EMERSON---Five seniors took part in the 2nd Annual Cavos Senior Showcase. Anthony Finocchiaro edged out classmate Chris Lennox to take first and second respectively in the 110 high hurdles. Lennox also took second in the long jump. In the sprints, Peter Campbell and Peter Mercedes took 3rd in the 400 and 100 dashes. The meet was capped off with Ryan Slattery's 4th place finish in the 800.

RIDGEWOOD---The BC track and field team is off to an impressive start after Day 1 of the Bergen County Relays. The team is holding a 6 point lead after taking first and third in the pole vault and discus respectively. The meet will continue on Friday and Saturday with the bulk of the competition. MONTVALE---Bergen Catholic began its dual meet portion of its spring schedule with victories against both Paramus Catholic (81-58) and St. Joseph Regional (95-18) on Tuesday afternoon in Montvale.
Junior Kevin DeLoughry got things rolling for the Crusaders by winning the first event, 400 hurdles in a time of 56.9 seconds. The team showed their well-balanced efforts by sweeping the distance events (C. Shaia, B. Fiume, B. Rabah) and pole vault (D. Wafer & J. Mascaro). While up and coming underclassmen Aeneas DiCosmo and Javontae Jean-Baptiste came through with solid performances in the jumping events.
Next up for the Crusaders is the Bergen County Relay Championship meet at River Dell High School.
BC Places 5th in First Meet

RIDGEWOOD--The BC track team kicked off the season at the Pawlowski Relays on Saturday with strong performances across the board. The varsity team was led by a first place finish in the Distance Medley Relay and a second place finish in the Sprint Medley Relay. The sub-varsity teams contributed to the day with first place finishes in the novice 4x400, freshmen long jump, a second place finish in the novice 4x100.
Bergen Catholic will next compete on Sunday, April 10th at the NJCTC Relays at St. John Vianney High School.
