BC Falls in States to Delbarton


Certainly there was a hope that BC would win every of the last games they'd play, but it wasn't to be.  BC fell to Delbarton 6-2 in the NJSIAA Semi-finals.  Congratulaitons to Coach Berkanish, the Class of 2017 and all of the members of the soccer that made this such an exceptional season!



BC Takes First Step vs. Oratory Prep

The top-seeded Crusaders opened its bid for a state title with a hard-fought win over Oratory Prep.  Cole Bosch scored two goals and an assist for to lead the Crusaders in scoring.  Next up is Delbarton at BC in the Non-Public "A" North Semifinals.



Bergen Repeats as Champs!


On Sunday, BC defeated Don Bosco 3-0 at Crusader Stadium to finish undefeated in Big North United play.  For the first time in school history, Bergen has won a division championship in back-to-back years.  Leading the way on Sunday were Cole Bosch (2 goals), Aidan Conniff (1 goal), Stephen Teitelbaum and Joe Barile each recorded an assist while Nick Vafiadis (4 saves) and Eric Hund combined for the shutout.


Crusaders Earn Top Seed in State Tourney

This remarkable season-to-date has created an opportunity for BC to receive a first-round bye in the NJSIAA Tournament. The Crusaders will begin their ROAD TO STATE on Thursday, November 3rd at 2:00 pm vs. with winner of the Oratory Prep - DePaul Catholic first round game.


BC Works Overtime to Defeat SJR

It was a strong run by BC to the semis.  Henry Mouawad scored unassisted in regulation and Nick Vafiadis saved 4 in regulation plus two PKs.  Next up, SJR tomorrow.



Crusaders turn out Knight Light 3-1

Cole Bosch, Stephen Teitelbaum and Joe Barile all scored for BC as Nick Vafiadis (3 saves) and Eric Hund (1 save) held Bergen Tech to 1 goal in Oradell.



Crusaders Mowed Down by Cutters 2-1

Fair Lawn HS accomplished something no other team in northern NJ has been able to do all season:  outscore BC.  They did just that with a 2-1 victory at Crusader Stadium.  Joe Santin scored the Crusaders lone goal off an assist from Henry Mouawad.  



Teitelbaum and Gross Thunder Mahwah

With its two top scorers out in a MUST-WIN BCCA Tournament game, Seniors Justin Gross and Stephen Teitelbaum stepped up as a coach would hope out of his leaders.  This was a hard-fought game in Ramsey, but BC prevailed by a score of 2-1 over the Thunderbirds to advance to the BCCA Semifinals next Sunday.


Perfect TEN


Nick Vafiadis recorded 6 saves to help keep BC perfect in shutting out Northern Highlands 1-0.  Miles Franklyn set up Henry Mouwad in the second half for the game winner.



Crusaders Roar Past Lions in BCCA Tourney

Joe Barile recorded at hat-trick and Miles Franklyn added 2 goals and 3 assists as BC defeated Lyndhurst HS 9-1 in its first BCCA Tournament game on Sunday in Fort Lee.



Senior Day Celebration

The Crusaders defeated Paramus Catholic on Senior Day by their hallmark score of 4-1.  Casey Kelly, Cole Bosch, Miles Franklyn and Ian Sykes all netted goals while Justin Gross and Joe Kelly relished in the role of set up men wtih 1 assist apiece.  Eric Hund recorded 3 saves and Nick Vafiadis stopped 2 more shots to hold the Paladins in check.



Magnificent 7

The Crusader Varsity Soccer Team improved to 7-0 on Wednesday following a solid 4-1 defeat of DePaul Catholic HS in a Big North United Contest.  Justin Gross scored a goal and an assist while Miles Franklyn and Cole Bosch each were 1-2 on the day.  Outstanding goal play by both Bergen netmiders held DePaul to just one goal while each keeper, Nick Vafiadis and Eric Hund recorded 4 saves.

Bergen Overtakes Old Tappan

Myles Franklyn scored two goals, set up by Cole Bosch and Bosch and Andrew Graf each added a goal to help the 6-0 Crusaders continue a very strong season.  Joe Barile and Joe Santin each set up goals while Nic Vafiadis made 3 saves and Eric Hund 1 in the victory.



Bergen Bests Bosco 3-2

The Crusaders improved to 5-0 with a terrific victory in Ramsey.  Miles Franklyn unloaded a 25-yard blast to open the scoring.  Cole Bosch continued his torrid pace, notching another G and Michael Tramantozzi weaved and dodged and darted to create a little of his own magic with the eventual game-winner.

Four Straight

Cole Bosch set up Miles Franklyn's game winning goal as BC defeated Wayne Valley in a terrific game on Tuesday.  Nick Vafiadis made 3 saves as the New Jersey's #18-ranked Crusaders' GAA dropped to 0.25.



BC Pummels Paladins 4-1

It was bound to happen.  An opponent scored a goal vs. BC.  Still, that lone goal was not enough as the Crusaders cruised to their third straight win.  Cole Bosch's hat-trick complimented by a goal by Miles Franklyn and two assists by Stephen Teitelbaum.  Nick Vafiadis had another strong effort in goal with 4 saves.



Crusaders Crush Joes 4-0


BC improved to 2-0 with its home opening win vs. the Green Knights from St. Joseph Regional.  Cole Bosch netted two and Henry Mouawad set up two others to lead Bergen to victory.  Joe Barile and GianCarlo Gomes got in on the goal scoring actino while Casey Kelly and Mike Tramantozzi also played the role of set-up men.  Nick Vafiadis and Eric Hund pitched in for the shutout.



'Saders Strike Spartans

Bergen Catholic started its '17 campain in super style shutting out the Spartans of DePaul Catholic HS, 3-0.

Stephen Teitelbaum and Joe Santin scored unassisted and Miles Franklyn netted the opening goal of the young season off a pass from Cole Bosch.  Nick Vafiadis made three saves in the shutout.
