Crusader Wrestlers Continue to Make History. Program becomes 4th in NJSIAA History to Win 11 Group Championships.
February 12 - Toms River - BC rolled over St. Augustine Prep to its 11th NJSIAA Non-Public "A" Championship. Only Paulsboro (29), Philipsburg (20) and Camden Catholic (14) have won more than Bergen. This also marks BC's 6th consecutive Group Championship (2012-Present), tying Phillipsburg's streak from 1995-2000. This streak ranks 4th, behind the only longer streaks: Paulsboro (25), Camden Catholic (9), Paul VI and Kittatinny (7). BC has the LONGEST CURRENT STREAK IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. NINETEEN!!! BC Brings Home 6th Consecutive and 19th Overall North Sectional Championship
February 10 - Morristown - Delbarton's Green Wave gave the Crusaders a fantastic match, putting up 23 points, but Crusader wrestlers did exactly what was needed to come away with a 28-23 victory. This secured the school's 6th consecutive NPA North Sectional Championship. The streak began in 2011-2012 and with 12 of 14 wrestlers penned to return, Coach Bell's "New Team" took down NJ's #2 ranked team, and the tournament top seed on the road. <<MORE>> <<BOX SCORE>>
Crusader Grapplers Lock Sectional Finals in their Sites

February 6 - Alex Naddeo and his dad, former BC Region Champion for BC, Justin '92 and was impressed with the speed of this evening's event. This victory (70-9) overr Paramus Catholic propels BC to the state semifinal at the Hoehl Gymnasium.

January 25 - Ramsey - Bergen took down one of its toughest in-state opponents on Wednesday, visiting the Ironmen of Don Bosco Prep. Robert Howard, Gerard Angelo and Shane Griffith recorded pins for the scarlet and gold. Griffith and Nick Kaylal each won their twenty-first bouts of the season to lead the team. <<MORE>>

January 22 - The Crusaders finished 2-2 at the Who's #1 Duals in Philadelphia. Shane Griffith posted the best record for BC individually, going 4-0 and recording two pins along the way. Wade Unger recorded 3 decisions against one loss as did Nick Kayal, Robert Howard, Chris Foca and Anthony Astarian who all added bonus points along the way.

Bergen Reverses Course with Two MLK Day Victories
January 16 - Hoehl Gymnasium hosted three matches on Monday, two including the host Crusaders who defeated two strong Non-Public "A" opponents soundly. First up was Holy Spirit HS from Absecon and the Crusaders went on to a 54-15 victory. <<MORE>>

Bergen Starts Season Strong with 3rd Place Finish at the Beast!December 17-18, Newark, DE
- The 2016-2017 Started very strong as a line-up with only one senior scrapped its way to a 3rd Place Finish at the prestigious, Beast of the East. 110 teams competed in the field as Bergen finished behind only Blair Academy (NJ) and Bethlehem Catholic (PA). The 13 Crusaders finished the tournaemnt with a combined .647 winning percentage going 44-24 as a unit. 8 of 13 Crusaders posted winning records at the Beast, highlighted by Gerard Angelo (138) and Shane Griffith (152) placing 2nd, Robert Howard (113) 3rd, Chris Foca (160) 5th, Nick Kayal (106) 7th and Carmen Ferrante (126) 8th. <<MORE>>
