BASES LOADED BALK GIVES BC GAME ONE VS SJR

April 17 – Lyndhurst, NJ – The Crusaders won a wild back-and-forth game vs. SJR at Breslin Field on Wednesday 6-5, taking game one of their two game Big North United Division Series.
     Freshman Juan DeLaCruz went 1-for-1 with a double, two walks, two stolen bases and two runs scored and Matt D’Amato hit a double, scored a run and was walked and hit by a pitch.
     Hitting safely for the Crusaders were Luis DeLaCruz, Dillon DiBartolomeo, Tywone Malone, Armari Paula, Orlando Pena and Pat Zuccola. Paula also stole two bases while Malone, Pena and Zuccola each drove in a run. Patrick Cerami, Marco Siracusa, D’Amato and Paula each scored a run for BC.
     Jacob Denner was BC’s starting pitcher, going 5 1/3 innings and striking out six. Joe Morin came into the game in relief and was the winning pitcher after 1 2/3 innings pitched.
