April 9 – Lyndhurst, NJ – The Crusader pitching staff has yet to allow a run in this early season and bats seem fully alive as BC defeated the Spartans of DePaul Catholic on Tuesday.
According to right fielder, Pat Zuccola, “Jake (Denner) was on top his game yesterday.”
We are very confident. We have a strong lineup 1 through nine and we will be a difficult team to beat. We take every game seriously and look to do all of the little things right. When we play some of the stronger teams we will have to do all of the little things right (to beat them).”
Zuccola had a two-out RBI double in the fourth to left field make the score 8-0. Matt D’Amato was once again on fire with a 3-for-3 day with 2 RBIs. Luis DeLaCruz was 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs.   Dillon DiBartolomo led off the fifth with a line drive single to center. Dom Cancellieri tripled in the tenth run to end the game at 10-0 for BC. Cancellieri was 2-for-3 with the one RBI.
Jacob Denner pitched a complete game for BC, striking out nine and yielding only two hits over five innings.
