Crusaders Take Three of Four in BNC Batch Meet

September 14 – Mahwah, NJ – BC’s Cross Country won three meets against SJR, DePaul Catholic and Paramus Catholic with identical perfect scores of 15-50, but lost the fourth and league title to Don Bosco Prep 42-16.   Tom Rogers (17:33) and Nick Pesanello (18:19) each defeated Ironman runners finishing 5th and 7th overall in meet where top seven runners from each team score.

James Hughes (9th, 18:32), Miles Suitt (10th, 18:33), Joseph Griffith (11th, 18:36), Alex Shaia (12th, 18:42) and Elias Garcia (13th 18:58) scored for the Crusaders.  William Micholas, Matthew Marques, Matthew Geraghty, Jackson Vonderhorst, Ronan Flynn and John Gallagher all finished strong for the Crusaders as well.

FROSH WIN SECOND STRAIGHT MEET!

September 14 – Mahwah, NJ – Bib # 419 cruised across the finish line of the 2900m race at a time of nine minutes fifty-one seconds.  On a muggy Tuesday at Darlington County Park, freshman Rhyse Ruffy set the pace, winning his first high school race and leading the young Crusaders to a Big North Division Title.  His teammates were very strong as well.  Danieel Calianese finished third, just 8 seconds behind Ruffy with a time of 9:59.

Luke O’Brien (6th, 10:43), Andrew Byrnes (7th, 10:45), Avery Drapkin (8th, 10:55), Cameron Jaffe (9th, 11:06) and William Saracino (10th, 11:08) showed strong depth for the young Crusaders.  Ryan Williams ran well also, finishing at 11:22 in 16th place out of a total field of twenty-nine.
