Harriers Finish 2018 Strong at States

November 10 – Holmdell, NJ – The BC Cross Country team finished the team portion of the season at the NJSIAA Group Championships at Holmdel Park on Saturday. The Crusaders finished 5th in Non-Public “A”, 9 spots better than last year, with the #4 average team time on the current Holmdel course in school history. Senior Braedon Fiume finished 3rd in the race (also #4 BC all-time), qualifying for next week’s State Meet of Champions. That is the first top-3 finish by a BC runner since 1990. Seniors Elias Shaia (26th), Graydon Nichols (37th), and Jack Welch (41st), and sophomore Owen McCarthy (42nd) were the other BC scorers. In the overall meet merge, BC was 24th of the 120 competing teams, and the #2 Bergen County team.
Braedon moves on to the State Meet of Champions on 11/17 at Holmdel to compete against the top runners in New Jersey.
