April 29 – Paramus, NJ – Ty Malone came up with two on and two out in the top of the first. The sophomore standout first-baseman listened to his coach’s encouragement, “Bring ‘em in,” and lined a single to left, giving the Crusaders a 1-0 lead. It never got closer. After a 7-run second, the Crusaders were rolling, although Malone’s RBI was all pitched Dom Cancellieri would need.

Pat Cerami doubled and scored a run, Matt D’Amato continued with a hit, a stolen base and two runs scored from his lead-off position. Catcher, Dillon DiBartolomeo was one-for-one with a run scored and an RBI and Armari Paula scored two and knocked in two, going one-for two with a stolen base. Malone had the biggest day, however, going 3-for-3 with a double, 2 RBIS and a run scored.
Cancellieri pitched a complete game shutout (5 innings), striking out 12 and yielded only 4 hits.
