August 17, 2020 – The fall high school sports season are a go, Governor Phil Murphy announced during his Monday press briefing.
Ultimately, the NJSIAA and local districts will make the final call regarding the start. That said, today was a big step forward.
Pre-season practices start on Monday, September 14. The official Crusader athletic seasons kick off on October 3rd. The Varsity Football team travels to Montvale on Saturday afternoon to take on the St. Joseph Regional Green Knights.
Cross-country and soccer schedules will be completed in the coming weeks. They will be announced as soon as they are available.
Currently, the fall sports programs practice daily. The hard-work will continue through August 29 when a state-wide, mandatory two-week break occurs. The goal is for schools to open safely so administrators can assess the safety of moving forward with the season.
