Crusader Hockey Takes Out Pope John XXIII 3-2 in Second Round of State Tourney

February 21 – Stockholm, NJ – Ryan Moloughney scored with 2:13 remaining off a Tommy Kleinman feed to defeat Pope John XXIII of Sparta in the NJSIAA Tournament.     Tommy Olson opened the scoring for the game midway through the first period off a Will Frassetto feed, but Pope John tied the score about 4 minutes later.

     Following a scoreless second period highlighted by a number of tremendous saves by Brendan McCaskey (28 Saves, .933 Save Average). Frassetto got things going just 45 seconds into the third, assisted by Tyler Ugliono and Devon Kelly. The Lions would not go away without a fight, tying the score on a power play with 7:15 remaining.
