CRUSADERS FINISH SEASON WITH STRONG PERFORMANCE IN STATE SEMI-FINAL

February 28 – West Orange, NJ – We’re BAAACK! The rest of the state was put on notice, that although BC’s first season under coach, Tommy Keough, came to an end, this is a very tough team to beat and will be a program to be reckoned with in years to come. The Crusaders season ended as one of the Frozen Four in the Non-Public Tournament at the hands of 2-time defending champion Delbarton School by a score of 2-0.

It was a similar recipe of ferocious fore-checking, sound defense and exceptional goal keeping by Chris Branch that kept everyone on the edge of their seats throughout the evening. After two scoreless periods, Delbarton finally converted with 2 seconds remaining on a power play with 8:03 remaining. They would add an insurance goal later in the game, but the story was in the Crusaders confident play and remarkably courageous run.
So many great playoff runs are led by exceptional seniors who demonstrate the will to win. This year’s Crusaders were loaded with them including Branch, Cam Monteverdi, Tommy Kleinman, Will Frasetto, Ryan Moloughney and Billy Salerno.
