William John Mahon, Ph.D., graduated from B.C. in 1971. A dedicated runner, Bill was an inspiration to his teammates and a relentless competitor. During his senior year, he led the Crusaders to their first State Championship in cross-country. When he graduated, Bill held school records in five events. Named to the All State Cross-Country Team in his senior year, Bill was a four-time All-County selection in cross-country and track, and established a Bergen County record of 9:15.7 in the two mile race. Bill attended Princeton where he concentrated in Classics and Medieval English. He has an M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard.
