Mr. John B. Mazziotta came to Bergen Catholic in 1957 to teach history after starting his teaching career at All Hallows, his alma mater. John was an All City basketball player and football player. “Mazz” became Bergen’s first varsity football coach and soon after he took over the head basketball Job. Mazz’s teams have won over 500 basketball games. John has received many coaching awards and many of his players have gone on to star in college. Coach Mazziotta is being honored for the person he is and for the values he teaches to those he coaches.
