Bergen Catholic Students Raise Over $43,000 in 2023 Sleep Out Service Event
ORADELL, NJ, November 20, 2023 – On Monday night, more than 200 Bergen Catholic students participated in the annual Sleep Out event to raise money and awareness for Covenant House, a shelter for kids experiencing homelessness and trafficking.
BC’s students heard presentations from members of Covenant House as well as from those who were formally homeless. The Crusaders then slept overnight outside on Jack McGovern Field as a sign of solidarity for those in need of shelter.
Bergen Catholic was also announced as 1st place winners of the student Sleep Out challenge, having already donated over $43,000 to Covenant House for this school year. Crusaders lead by example and never forget those who are in need.
