Rutgers' Greg Schiano Visits Bergen Catholic in Helicopter
ORADELL, NJ, January 12, 2024– The Bergen Catholic community is use to a plethora of college coaches coming to Crusader Country to recruit BC’s finest student-athletes for their respective collegiate sports programs, but they never had a coach make such a grand entrance.
Rutgers head football coach Greg Schiano arrived in Oradell in style in his own helicopter, which landed at midfield at Jack McGovern Field as students, faculty and staff looked on at dismissal on Friday afternoon. Coach Schiano was greeted by Bergen Catholic president Dr. Brian Mahoney as well as BC head football coach Vito Campanile.
Coach Schiano was there to recruit the top-ranked football player in New Jersey, junior Quincy Porter ’25.
