Courses Offered

Analytics of Sports
The class will discuss the theory, development, and application of analytics in sports. Students will learn about the application of analytics in sports for purposes of in-game strategy, player performance, team management, sports operations, and fantasy competitions, among many other topics.

Stock Market and Entrepreneurialism
In a 21st century world, finance plays a critical role in the decision making of business all over the globe. In this course, you will have the opportunity to be introduced to the world of Wall Street, its influence on society, and how to properly invest money safely, securely, and effectively. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to use your skills to become a leader of your own business through entrepreneurial best practices.

Robotics
Robotics as a subject allows students to explore and solve real-world scenarios through Problem-based learning. Problem-Based learning requires students to generate solutions both independently and collaboratively using experimentation. This course guides students to complete projects based upon a certain set of parameters that are given prior to the beginning of class. The assessment and measuring of retention is done through the completion of an engineering notebook as well as create online blueprints and construct different structures based off of those notebooks and blueprints.

Digital Media Production
The Digital Media Production course will focus on creating items and documents students will use in presentations such as infographics, charts and graphs. Students will learn the importance of being able to self-promote a business with business cards, flyers, and brochures. Each student will be creating their own project using the widely used website www.canva.com. Students will also learn how to create an effective presentation using Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, or Keynote. Students will also have the opportunity to pick a topic and present their findings to the class.
