Br. Martin P. Burns was first assigned to Bergen Catholic in 1968. Br. Burns taught US and World History and was Moderator of the soccer club. In 1969, Br. Burns coached the varsity golf team to its first Bergen County Scholastic League title. BC was fortunate to have Br. Burns return in 1983 where he taught Algebra and Religion and was Assistant Principal for Academics. Presently, Br. Burns is Vice Principal for Development and Recruitment, Moderator and Assistant Coach of the golf team, and the Moderator of the Mothers’ Club. Br. Burns will always be remembered for his undying enthusiasm and energy, and always there to greet you with a smile.
