Mr. Michael Conway began his association with Bergen Catholic in 1961 when he attended his first Bergen football game. He returned twenty-one years later to watch his son Tim play football. In 1984 Mike became the Freshman Asst. Football Coach and later the Offensive Coordinator for both the freshman and sophomore teams. In1988, Mike became Head Freshman Coach and guided his teams to a 49-9-2 record in seven seasons. During his career in law enforcement, Mike was President of the Bergen County DARE Association and co-founded the Police Pipes and Drums of Bergen County. In 1994, he received the McGovern Award and in 1995 retired as a Sergeant from the Fort Lee Police Department. Mike has been married to Sue for twenty-seven years and has three children—Tim ’87, Maggie and Kate.
