Mr. Christopher J. Donfield came to Bergen in 1960. Chris graduated from Fordham, received his MA from Seton Hall and his Ph.D credits from St. Johns. He taught English, Latin and coached freshman baseball and basketball. In 1966 Chris became varsity basketball coach and his teams have won over 450 games since then. Chris is the junior guidance counselor. Chris is admired by his players and has earned the respect of his fellow coaches. We are honoring Chris for his loyalty and dedication to BC.
