Mr. Marc Ferro, a 1993 graduate of Bergen Catholic, made his mark in the sport of golf, contributing to a strong tradition and dominant success of the BC golf program. During his four years at school, one of the major highlights he enjoyed was helping the team win the New Jersey State Team Title in 1991. Marc was also the first golfer in history to win the Dan Luciano Bergen County Tournament in consecutive years (1991 and 1992). He captured the Odell Nassar Championship during his junior year and finished off his BC career by taking home the New Jersey Tournament of Champions individual title. Overall, Marc compiled an overwhelming record of 99-1 over his four years at school. His many outstanding performances earned him significant recognition. In addition to being selected First Team All-County in three different years, The Record honored him with the nickname “King Crusader” and selected him to its 1990s All-Decade Team. Marc went on to attend Georgetown University, where he was a four-year starter. He helped the team secure its first-ever NCAA regional invitation in 1997 during a season in which he also garnered Academic All-American honors. Marc’s passion for the game continues to this day.
