Peg and Dave Ficca have been an integral part of the Bergen Catholic family since the arrival of their first son at the school in 1976. Peg worked as a volunteer in the Principal’s Office for over ten years and for three Principals (Brothers. Gaffney, Roepke and Killelea), for two years with Br. Lawrence in Alumni Relations, and is the first woman to serve on the Board of Directors, three of those six years as Co-Chair. She also served as President of the Mothers’ Club! Dave is a graduate of Fordham University ’53. He served as 1st Lt. US Marine Corps, from 1953-1955, and graduated from Georgetown Law in 1959. He was Staff Counsel at the Securities & Exchange Commission, and is now retired from Kidde, Inc. where he served as Vice Chairman & General Counsel. Dave also served for six years as a member of the BC Board of Directors, and .several years on its Development Committee, was Co-Chair of the Br. Burns’ Golf Outing in 1984, and gave many years of service to the Touchdown Club. Dave and Peg have proudly graduated four sons from Bergen Catholic—Dave ’80, Tom ’81, Bill ’82 and Ray ’85 and a daughter from AHA, Marykate ’90.
