Mr. Jim Finn graduated from Bergen Catholic in 1995 and attained fame as a two-sport star during his illustrious high school career. While he made a name for himself as a top-notch football player for the nationally-ranked Crusaders, he was arguably more successful on the wrestling mat. Jim earned AII-County honors as a running back and safety for the football Crusaders. His sensational 1994 performance of 1,326 rushing yards and 140 points scored ranked fourth-best and sixth-best, respectively, on the all-time BC single-season charts. His career total 2,305 yards and 188 points rank #6 and #8. respectively in the BC football record book. He won District 7 Tournament championships in four different weight classes (125, 140, 160, and 185). followed by Region 2 titles in his last three years. Jim would go on to place twice in the State Tournament, finishing fifth/sixth at 160 in 1994 and taking home BC’s second State title one year later. He went on to play football for the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a two time First-Team All-Ivy League selection as a running back. He earned “Ivy League Player of the Year” honors as a senior in 1998, then played in the National Football League for a total of seven seasons with the Chicago Bears and New York Giants.
