Mr. Thomas Fuchs came to Bergen Catholic in 1970. Tom has taught math and coached the track and cross country teams ever since. He twice served as Math Chair and was the Athletic Director for five years. For the past eight years. Tom has served on the Executive Board of the Bergen County Coaches Association and was twice named Bergen County Cross Country Coach of the Year. Tom’s teams have won numerous league titles and five county championships. Tom was cited as an “Outstanding Educator” by Corneil University. In 1991, he was inducted into the NJICA Hall of Fame and in 1992 into the Essex Catholic Hall of Fame. Tom, a National Merit Scholar, graduated from Seton Hall University with a BS degree in Math and has been married for 23 years to his wife, Susan.
