Mr. John Kevin Hammel graduated from B.C. in 1962.  John was an All-County and All-State basketball star at Bergen.  He was also named to the Sport Magazine All-American Team.  John won Bergen Catholic’s Outstanding Athlete Award and was named to the Bergen County All Decade Team from 1960 through 1969. He received his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Mercy College and is in his twenty-first year of service with the River Edge Police Department.  John is currently assigned to Juvenile Bureau, Crime Prevention & Community Relations and is involved as a D.A.R.E. Officer helping today’s youth.
