Michael Haviland, Bergen Catholic Class of 1978, bleeds scarlet (PMS200C) and gold (PMS124C). As President of Do Good Marketing, he was instrumental in leading the marketing efforts of the school and works tirelessly to promote the mission of Bergen Catholic. Michael served as Vice President of the Alumni Association in 2008 and became President in 2012. As President, he initiated the open election process and Decade Representative Program and has spearheaded the development of new programs to embrace and engage the entire Bergen Catholic family including: alumni, alumni parents, current students, current parents, staff, friends and fans of Bergen Catholic. Some of the programs developed on his watch include: Habitat for Humanity Build with Current Students, Alumni and Current Parents, Ridgewood Memorial Day Run, Theology on Tap, Hoboken on Tap, Career Development Seminars, Careers4Crusaders and alumni networking events, alumni summer golf league and wine tastings. In addition, Michael motivated the Alumni Association to commit to a 5-year pledge of $100,000 in support of the Crusade to the Summit initiative. Michael and his wife, Susan, are the proud parents of two Bergen Catholic alumni, Michael ’06, Tyler ’09, and one AHA alumna, Lauren ’11.
