Mr. Robert Hoehl was a member of Bergen Catholic’s first graduating class in 1959. He was co-captain and high scorer of BC’s first varsity basketball team, averaging 22 points per game. He went on to St. Michael’s College. in Vermont, on a four-year basketball scholarship. After college, Bob joined IBM as a systems engineer and data processing salesman. In 1963 he married Cynthia Kieslich and they have six children. In l 969 he founded IDX Systems Corp., a healthcare information technology company that went public in 1995. Bob currently serves as Chairman of the Board. In addition. he also serves on the Boards of St. Michael’s College, The Preservation Trust of Vermont. Symquest and The United Way. Last year, the Hoehls made the largest gift to the Annual fund by an alumnus in the school’s history, in memory of Bob’s parents Dorothy and Robert.
