Mr. Raymond Hopkins is a 1983 graduate of Bergen Catholic. He played football and baseball for three years each and soccer and track and field for one season each. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the YES Network, the television home of the New York Yankees and New Jersey Nets and the most-watched regional sports network in the country the past seven years. Since joining YES in December 2004, Ray is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company while also directly overseeing the cable, satellite and telco distribution for the network. His 21-year career in cable began in 1989 when he joined CNBC as an affiliate sales representative. He ultimately became the senior vice president of affiliate sales and marketing at Fox Cable Networks, where he oversaw the distribution and the marketing of the company’s cable properties. Ray graduated from Gettysburg College in 1987 with a BA in Political Science, and received the school’s “Young Alumni Achievement Award” in 2002. He has been honored by the cable trade publication CableFax in its “Top 100 Most Influential in Cable” issue for seven consecutive years. He has been extremely active in Bergen Catholic’s fundraising efforts over the years. Ray and his wife, Marci, have two children.
