Mr. Thomas W. Irwin came to Bergen Catholic in 1962. He is a graduate of lona College (1960) and did graduate work at both Manhattan College and Montclair State. Tom taught English and History in his first years at Bergen. He has been coordinator of the Driver Education program since 1986. Tom has been the Bergen Bowling Coach since 1963, and since joining the NNJIL in 1982, has led the Bergen team to five League and two County titles. He was named Bergen County Coach of the Year in 1994, after the Bergen team won its second straight County title. He has been married twenty-eight years to his wife Kathleen and they are the parents of three children, Thomas, Peter and Sharon. On December 23, 1994, they became proud grandparents.
