Mr. James M. Jacobsen graduated from Bergen Catholic in 1966. Since his appointment as golf coach nine years ago, Jake’s teams have a record of 272-8-1 and have won numerous state, district and county titles. Jake has been named Bergen County Coach of the Year three times. An active member of the Alumni Association, Jake was the driving force behind the creation of the Bergen Catholic Hall of Fame. Jake received his B.A. from St. Leo College, where he was class president and Athlete of the Year, and M.Ed. in Language Arts from William Paterson College. Jake is presently employed as a SIU investigator with Ohio Casualty Insurance Company.
