Tad Jones, a 1999 graduate of Bergen Catholic, is recognized as the most awarded bowler in school history. A four-time First Team All-County selection, he led the Crusaders to four straight NNJIL League titles, three Bergen County Championships, one North Jersey Sectional title and one State Championship. Tad was a two-time recipient of The Record’s “Athlete of the Week” award after he rolled 803 and 805 series. He finished his career at BC with a 218 average, and was one of only ten bowlers in New Jersey High School history selected to the Star Ledger’s All-Century Team. He also achieved success on the baseball diamond as a three-year starter for the Crusaders, accumulating a 10-1pitching record and .415 career batting average. Elected co-captain of the team as a senior, Tad helped lead BC to its only Bergen County Championship in program history. He capped off his senior year by receiving First Team All-County and Second Team All-State honors as a third baseman and was named “Most Valuable Player” of the Bergen County Tournament. Tad moved on to Bentley University, where he received his undergraduate degree in Corporate Finance and Accounting and his Master’s Degree in Taxation. He currently works as a Certified Public Accountant.
