Mr. Anthony J. Karcich came to Bergen Catholic in 1974 where he was named Head Football Coach. During his nine year tenure, the Crusaders compiled a record of 72-20-3, winning three state championships and finishing second five times. Tony also found time to coach the golf team for four seasons, winning state titles in 1980 and 1982. A graduate of Hackensack High School, Tony received a football scholarship to Syracuse University and was selected by the Newark Athletic Club as Athlete of the Year in 1963 and by The Bergen Record as an AIl-Decade football player for the 1960’s. Tony has been head football coach at St. Joseph’s Regional High School since 1986.
