Br. A. X. Keane, CFC came to Bergen Catholic in 1962: Br. Alfred was the school’s second principal and it was during his tenure that Bergen Catholic continued to gain the athletic and academic tradition that it enjoys today. Br. Alfred graduated from Power Memorial/St. Joseph’s Juniorate in 1944. He continued his education at Immaculate Heart and St. John’s University where he received his BA and MA in Latin. Brother started his teaching career at lona Prep in New Rochelle and he is now teaching in Casa Providencia-Herm Cris Community School, Moyobamba, Peru. Br. Alfred has enjoyed many assignments through-out North and South America and in 1971 he was principal at Power Memorial Academy in New York.
