Frank Matarazzo, BC Class of 2001, served as a three-year captain and four-year varsity starter for the Crusader lacrosse team. Throughout his illustrious career, Frank was recognized as one of the best lacrosse players in New Jersey. After being named Freshman of the Year by The Ridgewood News in 1998, he went on to earn All-League and All-State honors in each of the next three seasons. During this period, he led BC to its first championship in program history in the Catholic Schools Lacrosse Tournament in 1999. He finished his career as the program’s all-time leading goal and point scorer. He became the first-ever BC lacrosse player to play at the Division I level and attended the University of Notre Dame, where he was a three-year monogram winner. Frank’s accomplishments were instrumental in helping to raise the visibility and prestige of the BC lacrosse program in the state of New Jersey.
