Mr. Robert McGovern is a 1985 graduate of Bergen Catholic. While at BC, Rob lettered in football, basketball and track. Most notably, Rob played varsity football as a sophomore, started at linebacker as a junior, and was named captain of the team in his senior year. As a senior, he was named to First Team All-League and All-County and Second Team All-State squads. In the NJ North-South All-Star Game, he was named MVP. The Record recently named him to its First Team All-Decade Team (for the 80’s) and Honorable Mention to its All-Century Team. Rob graduated from Holy Cross in 1989, was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed a four-year pro career with the Chiefs, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots. Rob is now a prosecutor for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. He and his wife, Marianne. have been married for five years.
