George Mulhauser began his association with Bergen Catholic when his son, Dan, entered the school in 1965. Joining the “Show Time” theater team, George brought additional life to the production with his brilliant design and direction in the creation of scenery and backdrops. At prom time. George helped the students transform the gym into extravagant .wonderland scenes, such as Winter in Switzerland, Classic Rome, and Springtime in Paris. He worked closely with the students, teaching them to draw and read prints. In 1976, George was named “Father of the Year” and he continued his work with ”Show Time” until 1985. George and his wife, Mary, have four children—Dan ’69, Paul ’70, Mary Ann and George ’76, as well as nine grandchildren. They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in July, 2000.
