Roger Nettune graduated from Bergen Catholic in 1961. He attended Temple University, earned his doctorate at NJ College of Medicine and Dentistry, and a Master’s in Orthodontics from Loyola University Chicago. His orthodontic practice grew to be one of the most successful in NI. Known for his generosity and compassion, he provided tree care to families confronted with unexpected hardship or tragedy. In his spare time, he coached CYO basketball and Bernards High School’s Varsity Girls Basketball. He was named Coach of the Year in 1997-1998. In 2006, his grandson was diagnosed with a rare bone disease called hypophosphatasia. His fundraising efforts led to the creation of a global advocacy group that helps patients around the world. An avid golfer, he won Club Champion at Roxiticus Golf Club, Senior Championships at Baltusrol and Pine Valley, and NJ State Seniors Championship. Roger attributes much of his success to Bergen Catholic, the memories and friendships he’s made, and is grateful to be honored in this way.
