Mr. Peter O’Dea is a 1964 graduate of Bergen Catholic. Pete played JV and Varsity Basketball at Bergen and was selected as All-Tri-County forward He went on to a celebrated career at St Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ. and was named captain of the basketball learn during his senior year. He held the record for over 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 points during his career and was later scouted by semi-professional basketball teams. After his graduation from St. Peter’s in 1968, Pete was working for Medical Economics in Oradell, NJ as National Sales Manager. when he suddenly died in an automobile crash on April 30. 1980. Peter is survived by his wife, Donna, daughter, Kelly, and two younger sisters, Janet Stevens and Susan Andrews. He will always be remembered for his outstanding basketball achievements, but also for being a loving husband, father. brother and friend.
