Kevin O’Hara, a graduate from the Bergen Catholic Class of 1988, was a standout soccer player during one of the most successful periods in Crusader soccer history. A three-year varsity starter, he was a member of the 1985 BC team that won the first-ever Bergen County championship, a Parochial “A” North Sectional title and Bergen County “Team of the Year” honors. During his senior year, Kevin captained BC’s first-ever Parochial “A” State Championship team, while leading the team in goals from his midfield position. A two-time First Team All-County, All-Suburban and All-League selection, Kevin was also named Second Team All-State in 1986, First Team All-State in 1987, and Honorable Mention for The Record’s All-Decade Team for the 1980s. Kevin continued his playing career at Loyola College in Maryland, and was a member of three MAAC conference championship teams in 1989, 1990 and 1991. He remains very involved with the Crusader soccer program and founded the annual alumni game in 1997.
