Tom Pacicco, MD Class of ’75, graduated with academic honors and All County recognition in baseball. He was recognized as one of BC football’s best running backs of the first fifty years by NorthJersey.com. He graduated with a BA from Columbia University in 1979. When he earned his MD degree from New York Medical College he was presented the Cor et Manus Award for service to the College. Later he served on the NYMC board of directors. After his Internal Medicine residency in San Francisco, he joined the US Army. He served in Germany during Operation Desert Storm and earned the National Defense Medal and Overseas Service Ribbon. In Germany, he served as Chief, Internal Med. Clinic and ICU; and ALS Medical Director. He earned his Gastroenterology degree at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He finished his Army career at Ft. Bragg, NC attached to the 82nd Airborne Division serving as Chief, Gastroenterology. There, he earned the Outstanding Teaching Award and the Army Commendation Medal. After the Army, he settled in Charlotte, NC. He has served as VP of Charlotte Medical Clinic: Chief of Endoscopy, Carolinas Healthcare system and now as Medical Director, Gastroenterology Services. He is recognized as one of Charlotte’s Best Gastroenterologists and Outstanding Teachers. He served as President of one of the Southeast’s largest Athletic organizations. He has coached youth teams in football. Baseball and basketball for the Charlotte Catholic community. He is married to Dr. Elaine Pacicco. They have 3 children: Thomas A Pacicco, MD and his wife Jamie; Michael Pacicco, PG..; Elise Pacicco, MFA.
