Mrs. Carmela Toscano came to Bergen Catholic in the Fall of 1960. While at Bergen Catholic, Carmela was President of the Mothers’ Auxiliary, a Prom chaperone, a committee member to review English curriculum, and for 15 years was the piano accompanist for “Show Time” in addition to her responsibilities at Bergen Catholic. Carmela was also a past president of the Fairmount School PTA, Hackensack Elks Auxiliary and past vice president of the Hackensack College Club and Trinity Columbettes. Never did a fundraising activity at Bergen Catholic occur without Carmela Toscano contributing. Bergen Catholic truly appreciates the support of the woman known to all as “Cam.”
