Greg Tramontozzi ’88 was an accomplished soccer and tennis player during one of the most successful periods in Crusader soccer and tennis history. A three-year starter in both sports, Greg was a member of the 1985 soccer team that won the school’s first Bergen County Championship as well as a Parochial A North Sectional Title. During his senior year, Greg captained BC’s first State Championship team. Greg earned second team all-state and all county honors as a senior. He also earned all-league honors in all three of his years on the varsity soccer team. Greg was selected to play in the inaugural Bergen-Passaic Soccer All-Star Game following his senior year. He is one of two players to start on both the school’s first County and the school’s first State Championship soccer teams. In tennis, Greg was a key player on teams that won consecutive Parochial A North Sectional Titles in 1987 and 1988, captaining the 1988 team during his senior year. As a junior, he and his doubles partner came within two points of winning a Bergen County Championship. Greg earned first team all-county honors as a senior and second team all-county honors as a junior. He also earned all-league honors in all three of his years on the varsity tennis team. Greg was the Class of 1988’s Bergen County Coaches Association student-athlete scholarship award winner. He went on to play Division I soccer at Georgetown University.
