Br. James B. Walsh came to Bergen in 1959. Br. “J. B.” has taught biology, math and religion, and quietly but efficiently is completing twenty-one years of service at Bergen. Brother set up the first computer program and the first honors math program at Bergen. The golf teams, the football teams, the basketball and the track teams all have benefitted from the service of “J. B.” as moderator during his many years at Bergen. In addition to these activities and his teaching duties, for many years Brother successfully took on the formidable task of maintenance of property with student workers, saving the school money and providing needed jobs for students.
