Steve Warwick was a member of the Class of 1960, the school’s second graduating class. His four years at Bergen Catholic prepared him for the Engineering School at Villanova University, where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. After college, he entered the Navy Civil Engineer Corp and served with the Navy Construction Battalions (Seabees) serving in Antarctica and two tours in Vietnam. After his Navy experience, he joined Kennecott Copper Corporation in New York for five years and then joined Mars, Inc. During his working career he managed to earn an MBA, and since he retired in 1998, he continues to serve on various boards and on the Investment Committee of Mars, Inc. that manages the US retirement trust fund for the company. His travels with the Navy and work took him to every state and all seven continents. Steve and his wife, Kathy, have supported Bergen Catholic continuously for decades, providing top-tier, lifetime leadership investments to fuel BC’s future, to that other young men may have the positive experience that he enjoyed. He stays in contact with a number of his BC classmates, getting together in Florida each winter.
