Bergen Catholic Rugby Wins First State Championship
ORADELL, NJ, May 20, 2024 – Congratulations to the Bergen Catholic Rugby team and head coach Tim Downey ‘07 on winning their first state championship in program history! The Crusaders defeated Don Bosco Prep (23-20) in the Blue Division title match, their second win against their arch rivals this season!
Terrific job by all of our incredible BC student-athletes and coaches on their hard work and dedication to the Crusader Rugby program. You are all now a part of Bergen Catholic sports history, and thanks for bringing home another state championship to Crusader Country this school year!
