Crusaders Do Their Part for Veterans & Active Military Members
ORADELL, NJ, November 11, 2023– This Veterans Day, Bergen Catholic celebrates all those who have served us bravely in the Armed Services, and we also celebrate how some of our students are making a difference for veterans and active military.
BC’s Ryan and Tristan Ruffino raised over $2,000 for Wreaths Across America, a non-profit made to honor all those who served with wreaths placed at the graves for all veterans. Both Crusaders planted American Flags in front of the school to honor our military and raise donations for their care.
Trey Rolnick founded Operation Santa: Sam’s Soldiers as a non-profit meant to put together care packages for our military serving abroad during the holidays. This year he has raised over $2,300 in one day from a school-wide dress down day, rallying his peers to his cause for others.
At Bergen Catholic, our students lead by example, and we honor service in all forms on Veterans Day.
