Jack Pelzar ’26 Named Orange County Citizen of the Month
ORADELL, NJ, October 4, 2023 – Bergen Catholic sophomore Jack Pelzar ’26 was recently named as Orange County, New York’s “Citizen of the Month” for the month of September for his contributions and dedication to his local community as an Eagle Scout.
Pelzar’s recently completed Eagle Scout project involved renovating a trail site in his hometown of Newburgh, NY by putting up a new roof on a gazebo, while also sanding and painting the structure. Pelzar also built a new picnic table and cleared the area around the trail site.
An exceptional academic student at Bergen Catholic who holds a 4.28 GPA, Pelzar also took a summer course in Cell and Molecular Biology of Medicine at Columbia University and finished atop his class.
