Ryder Hodgson '24 Dominates NJ Summer Golf Circuit
ORADELL, NJ, October 3, 2023– Bergen Catholic has its own version of the Ryder Cup, as senior Ryder Hodgson ’24 has collected a jaw-dropping amount of championship golf hardware this past spring & summer as he prepares for his final season of high school at BC.
Hodgson collects accolades as consistently as he collects birdies on the course, as the Bergen Catholic senior claimed the 2023 W.Y. Dear Junior Championship over the summer after playing a 21-hole final round match at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, NJ. Hodgson’s sensational summer included the following titles:
- 2023 New Jersey Junior PGA Section Championship
- Qualified for quarterfinals of the 2023 MGA Junior Open
- Selected to participate in prestigious 2023 Carter Cup at Baltusrol Golf Club
- Won the Central New Jersey Hurricane Open
- Won the NJ PGA Junior Event at Cherry Valley
- Won the 2023 Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
- Won the 2023 Raleigh Junior Open
While representing Bergen Catholic, Hodgson was named to the 2023 New Jersey All-State Golf Team and was selected New Jersey NJPGA Player of the Year.
