Coaching at Bergen Catholic is a great privilege and responsibility and one our staff takes very seriously. Our principal objective is building young scholar athletes into strong competitors, gentlemen and leaders. In doing so, our entire staff is focused on the following goals:

• Building a winning team – one athlete at a time – by encouraging each young man to realize his full athletic potential
• Ensuring that each athlete understands the proper technique, purpose and intended outcome of each exercise and drill he performs
• Teaching each athlete to build himself up by building up his teammates
• Developing a strength of will and character in each young man that exceeds his physical ability
• Encouraging each athlete to strive for perfection with the courage and persistence to try again every time he fails
• Accomplishing the impossible as a team by inspiring and training each athlete to accomplish more than he believes he can
• Competing with a sense of pride, purpose and determination for ourselves, our teammates, our school and our God who has endowed us with the many talents with which we are entrusted.

By reaching these goals, we will leave each competition with the indelible image of the standards of Bergen Catholic excellence emblazoned in the memory of every competitor, spectator and official at the meet.
